Start buying the Sunday paper!

Buy your Sunday paper to get coupons.  This Sunday's paper (05/20) has 2 inserts.  There is a Smartsource and a RedPlum.  The rule of thumb is to buy as many papers as people in your household. For instance in my home there are 3 of us, so you would buy 3 papers.

Dollar General 50% off last chance sale!!

Here is the great deal I got at the Dollar General on Brodie and William Cannon Friday afternoon!!!

Dollar General is currently having a 50% off last chance sale on various items! Here is everything I got and the breakdown!!!

(3) finesse shampoos
(3) finesse conditioners
(2) suave 2 -in -1 (anti- dandruff) shampoos
(4) boxes of Johnson and Johnson 10 count individually wrapped gauze pads
(2) bottles of Frenches Worcestershire sauce

The (3) finesse shampoos and (3) conditioners were marked with a $2.75 sticker. These items are not marked down to half off yet so this made them $1.38 a piece. (they should mark down after they are scanned at the register. If not be sure to tell the cashier they should all be marked half off) So after they were marked down to $1.38 I used a coupon for $1 off ANY Finesse product from (smart-source 4/22/12) so after the coupon each shampoo and conditioner were only $0.38!!
The (2) suave shampoos were marked with a $2 sticker which makes them $1 after you take 50% off. I had a coupon for $0.50 off any two suave professionals products which would make my total to pay $1.50 (i only paid $1.08 for the 2 products because the cashier messed up and the manager didn't worry about it because a line started forming with customers).
Next were the (4) boxes of gauze. These were marked at $2 a piece,after they were marked 50% off they were $1. I had a $1 off any Johnson and Johnson first-aid product which made the gauze completely FREE!!!
The last thing I got was the Frenches Worcestershire sauce. This was not part of the last chance sale, but still a good deal. The sauce was $1 and I had a $0.40 coupon off, which made each bottle $0.60!

* When you are checking out at the register make sure  your last chance 50% items are ringing up half off from the sticker price. Some of my items didn't, and the cashier had to put in the correct price manually.
