H-E-B DEAL OF THE DAY!

Yesterday I was at my neighborhood H-E-B and look what I found!!!!

$1.00 off ScotchBrite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge, Delicate Duty Scrub Sponge, Easy Erasing Pad or Dobie All Purpose Sponge.

Here is the DEAL!!! The individual ScotchBrite Heavy Duty and Non-Scratch Sponges are currently priced at .99 cents and the ScotchBrite Delicate Care Sponge is priced at $1.00!!! This means you can get this Item for FREE!  Use the $1.00 off (B) Type H-E-B coupon (located next to the sponges) when you go to checkout to get these free.  I went to (2) H-E-B's and had different experiences trying to do this deal.

H-E-B (South First and William Cannon)

When checking out at the register the cashier rang up all the sponges and then scanned  the $1 off coupon, but she could not get the coupon to scan into the system to deduct the cost of the item.  A manager was called over and she reviewed the coupon and stated she would only let me get (2) sponges for free.

H-E-B (William Cannon and IH-35)

Same exact scenario as the H-E-B on South First & William Cannon, but the manager allowed me to  get 15 sponges, but had to pay the sales tax on them.

Step-by-step on how I did this.

1. @ check out I had a total of 15 sponges.  5 delicate care, 5 non scratch, and 5 heavy duty.
2. Cashier rang up all the sponges.
3. Handed the cashier 15 yellow (B) coupons
4. Cashier tried scanning, but they would not take.
5. Manager came over reviewd the coupons and deducted the coupons manually for the use of the in-store coupon
6. I paid the sales tax of $1.07 for a total of 15 sponges.

(Looking for Receipt to post) (It will be posted today)

*FYI H-E-B has a right to limit quantity of items in a transaction.  So if you are looking to get large quantities of items I recommend you speak with the manager and ask how many of the same coupons you can use in one transaction.  (they may try to revert back to the yellow (B) in-store coupon that says *Limit One Coupon Per Purchase of Product Indicated.  Please remember this is PER PURCHASE OR ITEM INDICATED.  THIS DOES NOT SAY PER TRANSACTION.
